It’s also possible to apply for an extension and renewal of this visa, as long as the worker has a valid passport from Australia and has an expressed intention to return home after the job is complete.

The petitioner must file a Form I-129 with USCIS, called a Petition for Nonimmigrant Worker. The petition must include a letter of support from the employer that includes information about the job and the qualifications of the worker. The letter must also state that the salary is fair and reasonable and that the employer will not violate any labor laws in paying the worker.
